About Susan
Susan deCathelineau grew up on a Century family farm in Jeffers, MN, and graduated from Storden-Jeffers High School (now Red Rock Central). Her husband, Owen, is a Willmar High School graduate with deep roots in the Willmar area. In 2020, Susan and Owen moved back to the community they love. They have a son, a daughter-in-law, and a grandson who affectionately calls her "Mimi."
Susan holds a bachelor's degree in health information management from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN, and earned her master's degree in health services administration from the College of St. Francis in Joliet, IL. Throughout her career, Susan has focused on helping healthcare organizations digitize and streamline medical records and workflows. She currently serves as the Chief Customer Officer at ImageTrend, where she supports Fire, EMS, and healthcare organizations in their mission to improve community health.
Beyond her professional work, Susan enjoys running, golfing, and traveling. Whether exploring new places, engaging in outdoor activities, or simply enjoying the company of loved ones, she values time spent with family and friends.
Involvement with the Willmar Area Women’s Fund
Susan joined the Willmar Area Women’s Fund (WAWF) in August 2023 and is an active member of the Messaging/Marketing Task Team. In this role, she helps share impactful stories and expand awareness of the Women’s Fund’s mission and collective efforts.
Susan actively collaborates on various marketing initiatives, including digital campaigns, print materials, and promotional strategies that enhance engagement. She works alongside fellow members to create compelling narratives that inspire action, drive donations, and encourage participation in Women’s Fund programs.

Susan is a dedicated leader in the healthcare industry and serves on multiple boards that advance innovation and advocacy. As a board member for WellLink, Susan plays a strategic role in decision-making processes aimed at supporting community-based hospitals and health systems. She also serves on the CHAMPS Innovation & Strategy Committee, which focuses on identifying emerging trends, evaluating new technologies, and developing strategies to enhance patient care.
Why Susan is Committed to WAWF
Susan joined the WAWF Steering Committee because she deeply believes in the power of community and the importance of uplifting others. She is especially drawn to the Women’s Fund’s mission of empowering individuals through education, advocacy, and financial support.
Susan firmly believes that when people are given resources and opportunities to thrive, it not only benefits them individually but also strengthens their families, communities, and society as a whole. She is committed to making a difference and eager to collaborate with others who share her passion for building a stronger, more supportive community.
