About LuAnn

LuAnn moved into the Willmar Lakes Area in 1985. She worked in the New London-Spicer Schools for 7 years before joining Nova-Tech Engineering in an administrative/accounting role. LuAnn loves spending time with her 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren, reading for her 2 book clubs, and enjoys history and architecture. She was able to combine those interests on European vacations over the years. She also enjoys movies and theater. One fun fact about LuAnn is that she is the 4th of 8 siblings and her husband is the 8th of 16 siblings.

Involvement with the Willmar Area Women’s Fund

This is LuAnn’s third year with the Women’s Fund. Since joining, she has been an active member of the Donor Engagement task team. LuAnn said, ”I am very interested in the goals of the Women’s Fund and the partner organizations. Learning more about these organizations has been very eye opening and has showed the overwhelming need for support from community members.”

Other Organizations LuAnn Supports

In addition to her involvement with the Women’s Fund, LuAnn has been active with her church council and various committees.

Why LuAnn is committed to WAWF

“I retired from Nova-Tech Engineering in 2020 and was looking to find a good way to use some of my time to volunteer in the community. I heard about the WAWF while attending the WACF annual gala and this organization immediately caught my interest. As a woman and mother, the goals of the WAWF resonated with me.”

We are excited to have LuAnn with the Willmar Area Women’s Fund! She has a heart for our mission and has already volunteered much of her time and energy to our cause. We believe Luann will continue to make many positive contributions to the Women’s Fund and our work.
